Palmer French Courses
While basic French vocabulary and basic grammar structures are introduced to students in Grade 8, communication is the primary objective. Students concentrate on understanding common phrases, communicating basic concepts, and developing confidence when speaking and listening rather than learning lengthy lists of rules by heart.
Grade 8
Students in Grade 11 continue to hone their abilities in all four language learning domains: speaking, writing, listening, and reading. French 11 is a crucial academic milestone because passing it also satisfies the second-language requirement for many universities. Since communication is still essential to learning any language successfully, students at this level place a lot of emphasis on it.
Grade 11

Students in Grade 9 continue to improve their communication abilities while increasing their vocabulary and grammar comprehension. Through oral and written exercises, they hone their French language skills, which helps them communicate more confidently and clearly.
Grade 9
Grade 12
By Grade 12, students have already met the university second-language requirement, so the course focuses on maintaining and refining their French skills. Students review and practice vocabulary, grammar, and communication in a supportive environment. The goal is not to challenge them with difficult material, but to help the teacher identify areas where they can improve.

By learning more sophisticated vocabulary and grammatical structures in Grade 10, students expand their comprehension of French. They start to take a closer look at how the language functions and employ it to communicate in more accurate and significant ways.
