Conclusion
Throughout secondary school, biology is introduced gradually, with each grade building on prior knowledge and abilities. Students are introduced to biology in Grade 8 through the Science 8 curriculum, where students learn the fundamentals of cell theory, such as the notion that cells are the smallest units of life and that all living things are composed of cells. Students compare the cells of plants and animals and learn how to use microscopes.
Genetics and cell division are heavily emphasized in Grade 9 biological concepts in Science 9.Students gain knowledge about the double helix structure of DNA and how genes regulate characteristics. Additionally, students will study how parents pass on dominant and recessive alleles to their children.
Biology is continued in Science 10 in Grade 10, with an emphasis on ecology and human body systems. Biogeochemical cycles are taught to students. They also discuss the significance of preserving ecological balance while delving into invasive species and biodiversity. The respiratory, circulatory, and digestive systems are among the subjects of human biology.
Biology 11 is the first standalone biology course and examines life science topics in greater detail. A key focus is the study of the five biological kingdoms—bacteria, protists, fungi, plants, and animals—including their structures, life cycles, and ecological roles.
In Biology 12, students study advanced topics that closely resemble first-year university biology. The course emphasizes human anatomy and physiology, covering major body systems and how they work together to maintain homeostasis. Students also explore molecular biology topics. Biology 12 is especially valuable for students planning to pursue post-secondary studies in medicine, nursing, or life sciences.

All in all, the Biology course helps students understand themselves body. In addition, also can helps students take more care of environment, plants, and animals.
